I personally feel that this new "renaissance" of 3D is going to fade away as a fad, just as it did in the 1950s. If it does stay with us, however, the only way it will gain traction in the home is if 3D sans glasses like this is effective and affordable enough for the masses. With 100 years of non-3D film history and just a few 3D films, I'm dubious that the vast majority people will want to spend much if anything to experience it at home.
