What I want to know though, is what cable/dvr system (if its not just a photoshop image) the picture here is from?! My Comcast station guide is puke-ish by comparison; this one looks clean, with some awesomeness thrown in.

the screenshot is from BeyondTV, by Snapstream. I use it for recording HDTV off-air (from an antenna). It is also compatible with some satellite TV setups (though not in HD as I recall) as well as with some of the cable tuners that support clear QAM. It can't deal with encrypted digital cable, so forget about using it to record HD off of cable for anything other than the regular broadcast channels, since the typical cable system encrypts those channels.
IMO, best guide UI for recording all types HD off of cable is probably still TiVo's. TiVos support cable card so can handle the encrypted streams.
