Time Warner Cable adding four HD channels in Columbus, Ohio
Just over a month after Clevelanders were told of four new HD channels that are coincidentally launching on Time Warner Cable today, the folks down in Buckeye country now have four of their own to look forward to. Yep, Columbus-area residents can get prepared for the addition of Sports Time Ohio HD (Ch. 752; presumably the full-time edition), National Geographic HD (Ch. 761), A&E HD (Ch. 766) and HGTV HD (Ch. 768). According to a notice on the carrier's website, these four newcomers are slated to hit sometime this month, but word from Columbus says that TWC has already been airing an ad boasting that A&E HD would arrive on the 18th. [Disclosure: Engadget is part of the Time Warner family]

I would sure be nice if TWC would send some love to Southern California folk. The last HD channel we got was our local KTLA channel 5.
there's places everywhere that TW isn't adding hd, here in central/syracuse ny our twc brethren on both sides (rochester and albany/capital) have all had more hd than us, and are getting even more now in the last month and in the following month where we haven't even had an announcement that they might get more hd than our already paltry offering
Who's got Sci-Fi HD with Time Warner?
As of 7:00 this morning, TWC in Northeast Ohio (NEO) had not added the new channels, nor have they swiched around the channels. Can anyone from NEO confirm if they have done anything? (I'm at work now, so I won't know anything until around 5:30).
Just found out that Dayton/Cincinnati, Ohio Time Warner Cable will be adding National Geographic HD and Fox Sports Ohio HD on March 25th!
WTF Time Warner....Where's the love for So Cal?
Ya know, it would be really, really nice if they could just get their friggin' cable cards to work in San Diego. What a bunch of dopes. After five months (which they said it would take that long to work out the bugs) and my cable cards only work most of the time, and mostly on some of the HD channels I'm supposed to get.
TWC just confirmed a March 19th push for North East Ohio. 6 new HD channels coming.
Pushed back, huh? Thanks for the info. Now there will be 6 channels? From what I've read, there will be 5. A&E, HGTV, History, Food Network as "Free", and also Starz HD with the Starz package. What is the other one?
Yesterday, Time Warner told me that March 24th was the Cleveland area change date. Sounds like they don't have a clue. Wait... Are we suprised?
According to this article:
http://www.ohio.com/news/top_stories/16325291.html
It says that they will be continuing with more areas next week, and will continue on into April until completed.
My favorite quote in the article: Asked if the change could erase the recorded programs, a Time Warner spokesman said, "We're not sure."
Does anyone know why recorded content would be erased as a result of the chang?
