Mr. E I respectfully disagree. You may be able to have the same functionality for under $10k but not the sum of it's actual parts. Icepower amps, Bryston pre/pro, AMX control system + remote is probably at least that much or more. Plus they have to recover their R&D costs and putting the thing together and supporting it. It's for custom installers that want to give their customers the best and when they are spending $500k for a home theater this is cheap and already put together.
