The percentage of sales people that recommend Samsung HDTVs.
Salespeople are also becoming less likely to recommend LCD sets over plasma sets, which goes against the industry trend.

When you're dealing with a $400 million satellite, you don't want to take any chances.
DirecTV can burn in hell. I hope when the new rocket launches it crashes into their headquarters and puts them in financial ruin.
2 year contracts without informing the customer when they sign up for HD service? Leased receivers when you buy them for full price from a Consumer Electronics store?
You have got to be kidding me. Go away DirecTV, once cable gets the NFL back you are done.
The DirecTV CSR was straightforward in informing me of the two-year contract when I signed up. Not that I didn't already know that, as it was also listed on their web site. I already have two-year contracts for my DSL and cell phone, so what's one more? It's well worth it to me since I save $25/month over cable and have lots more channels.
If you are complaining about DirecTV you must be young. Before DirecTV there was only cable and the options were zero. The service was awful. The picture quality was awful.
I'm glad DirecTV exists.
A bit bitter andyj?
What price did you pay for themat the Consumer Eletronics store? The $199 or the full price ownership price of $499 (or $800+ when they were first release).
The 2 year commitment is only for the addition of an advanced receiver, not when you just add HD service to your account (if you already had the equipment, but didn't have HD activated)
Anyway, back on topic...
I have received confirmation that this is not expected to be a lengthy extended delay, and was more of a minor... "lets make sure that is right" delay.
