Sure would be nice if TWC showed Southeaetern Wisconsin some of that love, even if it's only half those channels. Let's say Disney HD, ABC Family HD and Toon HD to keep the kids happy, A&E HD to keep the wife happy and Giada DeLaurentis on Food HD to keep me happy......
It's about time! We have been waiting for months for this. Give me NHL HD!
Isn't it great how they wait until the first round of the playoffs are done before giving us NHL HD nad VSHD? Couldn't they just flip the switch a few weeks early on them?
CABLEVISION!!! ARE YOU LISTENING?!?
Couldn't agree more with you. Cablevision is so vague in their response "We are always looking to add more...blah blah blah" I almost switched to DirecTV because of it, but the apt building I live in would only get like 10-13 of the HD channels that D offers...lame...
Damnit, when are they gonna add that beauty of a lineup to the Hudson Valley? By the time they do roll it out, FIOS would have been rolled out here in the town of Newburgh.
Stop showing that beautiful Time Warner guide! Every time I see it, I shed a tear because of how ugly my Time Warner guide is. :_(
I know that guide looks beautiful. We're stuck with the I-guide over here on Comcast. Oh what I'd do to get Passport (that is what the TWC guide is, right?)
Yes that guide is amazing. Scientific Atlanta sucks.
Here in Los Angeles, we don't get the pretty guide OR the HD channels. :(
Believe me when I say you DON'T want that guide. You really don't. It's the buggiest, most horrible POS ever loosed on consumers.
I've heard that but so is Scientific Atlanta
That guide SUCKS! (built off Mystro I believe, no longer passport) It comes with the 8300HDC Scientific Atlanta box - Huge piece of crap... I constantly deal with the video "sticking" up in the right upper corner of the screen after i've exited the guide so that 3/4 of my screen is black. Also have problems with the box displaying 720p and 1080i channels in 480p. I have to arbitrarily change channels several times in order to make it switch out of 480-land.
Interesting that they're adding TWC-HD. I wonder if the new HD Intellistar has finished testing and is going into service.
Local on the 8's in HD!! W00t!!111one1
Which Box is that?!? Why do I have 4 yr old SA 8300 and not new products...that guide looks AWESOME!!!! Why TW why...
Jay Portland Maine
Staten Island has all the Channels coming to Brooklyn and Queens except for Toon Disney , Disney, Speed, Weather Channel , ESPN NEws , ABC Family which have all the same launch April 30, April 30 Brooklyn, Staten Island and Queens will have the same HD lineup. I hope Manhattan gets it soon
Thanks
I took that picture, its my 8300HD. Its the Mystro OS. Thank God TWC woke up and is giving us much needed HD.
Ugh, why must twc hate manhattan.
Mystro software sucks! Passport is better (but still bad).
No love for Manhattan.
Why is manhatten not getting hd channels?
SIMPLE!
it's not bandwith ect ... that's just an excuse
everyone agrees woodside and staten island have fios option ... so they attacked there first with hd additions to stay competitive ... now fios is coming to queens and brooklyn ... do the math!
and direct tv ... ahha ... goodluck getting that in manahtten!
Analog elimination is ongoing. The reason it's not done all at once for all of TWC-NYC is very simple... Analog boxes need to be traded in... They can't take care of everyone at once. (its as simple as being able to handle the demand with enough supply)
Now... why have they chosen this order - yes it may have 'something' to do with fios... )even though they aren't allowed to provide TV service yet)
Bottom line - they've already sent out notices to analog box customers in Manhattan North - they need to trade in their boxes by May 23rd.
It's about time! Granted it's a month away so I'll see it when I believe it but at least there's 20+ channels coming on board. I was hoping FX HD would be included as I'd like to be able to see the new season of the Riches in HD!
what about MTV HD?
and
what is M HD?
M HD (Music HD) is a combination of MTV, VH1 and CMT programming in HD. The company that owns all three channels is probably just testing the HD waters before committing to separate HD channels.
Effective April 30th we will launch Sports on Demand on ch. 1023. In Manhattan we will launch Food Network HD on ch. 750, HGTV HD on ch. 764, Hallmark Movie Channel HD on ch. 784, Animal Planet HD on ch. 786, Travel Channel HD on ch. 788, and Versus/Golf HD on 794.
