We know, the DISH Network news is coming in hot and heavy today, but regardless of whether your neck of the woods is getting
HD locals, you can certainly look forward to seeing one more high-def channel in your EPG. Announced today, the sat provider is serving up New England Sports Network (NESN) in SD and HD on channel 434 (HD), and it should be noted that said network is the first regional sports channel in the nation to "originate every game and studio show in HD." See, Boston sports aren't all that far away after all.
Ya, Ya Ra, Ra...I am happy for all of the sports fans out there but I would like to see some national networks like the Sci Fi Channel and MGM HD take presidence just once at Dish. I just counted 43 HD channels devoted to sports--up and operating. Isn't that enough for a while Charlie?
Wow, this is great, but where the hell is my other HD channels I actually want!?
But is this for all over or only to the New England area?
This alone might be worth signing up with dish if you are a transplanted RedSox fan.
I'm guessing you can pay to see the channel from wherever you are, but the games will all be blocked out unless you live in the region. Standard set-up for regional sports.
GO SOX !
You will yell that futilely as the Yankees pound them every single game this season. Get ready.
Does this mean that they will somehow blackout Red Sox games if you don't live in New England? Or, can I switch to Dish network and get Red Sox games in New York now?
You can switch, but unless you live in the Boston region you will see no games.
Where's my SciFi HD, DAMN IT!!!!!!!
Dude , just the fact you want redsox games in Newyork makes me smile ! F the Yankees
This is cute... so when do we get USA and SciFi?
+1000
I'm sorry...how does a regional sports network qualify as part of a "national line-up"....this is lame...
