Fox Sports, ESPN deliver all MLB games in HD

For those who tuned in to the start of the 2008 MLB season (on US soil, that is) last night, you can already see we're in for a good one. Better still, the matchups we are presented with will be doled out in HD more so than any year prior. According to a new report from The Sports Video Group, over 3,000 MLB games during this season will be aired in high-definition, including 100-percent of the tilts shown on ESPN and Fox Sports. Breaking it down by team, the Chicago White Sox will have the most games in HD with 155, while the Cleveland Indians and Chicago Cubs follow suit with 153 and 151, respectively. So much for having to go to the ballpark to enjoy the freshly groomed grass, eh?

NESN = 100% HD
Fox = 100% HD
ESPN = 100% HD

Red Sox = 100% HD = 162 Games

That's not a very comprehensive report.

Yeah the same goes for the Yankees, all their games on YES and WWOR are in HD.

Same goes for the Red Sox where NESN broadcasts ALL games in HD, and the only games they dont do are FOX and Sunday Night ESPN games and those are in HD. Good to see accurate reporting these days!

Mets, Yankees and Red Sox 162 HD games.

I don't know where they got their information. Like the others have said, Red Sox games on NESN are 100% HD (both home and away) and have been for at least 2 years. Combined with the few games that are on FOX and ESPN, every Red Sox game is in HD.

I believe they must mean in terms of home and away. How the feeds are completely different for someone watching a mets-marlins game for instance in florida, as opposed to in new york.
