You have to figure M$ is working on adding Blu-Ray drives to the Xbox, no matter what they say publicly. Now maybe they call it something besides Xbox 360. Hopefully they will support the current xbox consoles with an external add-on Blu-Ray drives like the HD-DVD.
My guess is that Sony might be asking too much money from M$ for the license/royalty fee. M$ is still probably doing all the legwork ahead of time in case they can negotiate a better price. OR M$ is not allowed to announce the drive until a certain time, to appease Sony so they don't lose PS3 sales in the meantime.
