Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
TrueHD/DTS-HD bitstreams via HDMI???
What is the difference how it is sent to your receiver? If you have a receiver with HDMI, then it can surely take the decoded PS3 signal. I own a Yamaha rx-v1800 receiver and would sure like to see the DTS MA or Dolby True lights come on, but it's no big deal. Lossless is lossless.
No. Bitstream output of advanced audio codecs is not possible on the PS3. The good news is that you shouldn't want this capability, however, because it would prohibit you from getting the intended audio from the player for discs authored in enhanced mode (which will soon be ALL BDs). See the end of this article for more information.
