
The amount of apps in the Windows Phone Marketplace
Microsoft's Windows Phone Marketplace has now reported to have passed 25,000 apps by one site tracking comings and goings within it. (source: WindowsPhoneAppslist, July 2011)

With all the complaints about overcompression of satellite and cable signals, I can't imagine this is going to improve anything. The "resolution" they send could be 10,000 x 5,000 but if they're compressing it so much that it's macroblocking and smearing all over the place, what's the point?
How about you guys work to maximize the quality of your existing channels, before undertaking an "upgrade" that that improves nothing but your feature list?
You hit it dead on, Resolution has never really been the limiting factor for broadcasted image quality. Also, when are the writers here gonna stop using nonsensical terms like "Full HD". What next, desciptions like
"Improved betterness" and "Unobtainium"?
