Why in the world aren't these things available in the US? I heard it was because they didn't do that well on the shelf so they pulled them. That's crap, the only HDD recorders I've seen at retailers is Tivo and the Phillips which I don't like solely because of it's color. Due to the drop of VCR's and the fact that DVD recorders blow because of they're limited function, I can't believe that these wouldn't do great in the US.
I agree, I have been on the hunt for awhile. I tried using a PC, but it doesn't have a very high WAF (Wife Acceptance Factor).
