Since
launching in Q1 2008, Hallmark Movie Channel HD has found its way onto
Time Warner Cable and
DirecTV, and now it has discovered yet another home: Cablevision. A recently announced agreement between the carrier and Crown Media Holdings will give it the "right to distribute both the standard-definition and high-definition versions of Hallmark Movie Channel," though it's not specifically stated if it will choose to carry the HD variant. Sure, it's not the most thrilling possibility, but one additional high-def option is better than none, we suppose.
Great, another HD channel I will never watch. Add it to the list with the 15 Voom channels that are a waste of bandwidth.
How about Cablevision giving me channels I actually give a rats ass about?
Like TLC-hd, Discovery-hd (we do get the Theater version), A&E-hd, FX-hd, Spike-hd, and the rest of the standard cable fare!
Good grief. If FiOS picks up Sci-Fi HD, I'm switching providers as fast as I possibly can. To echo Joe Mama's sentiments, the majority of Cablevision's HD additions have ultimately been a pile of unwatchable dreck.
I'm surprised Cablevision is taking its time with Sci Fi HD, USA HD, HDNet/HDNet Movies, Cartoon Network HD, and the rest of the lineup the dish providers have had for months.
oh christ. cablevision will be losing me as a customer the SECOND FiOS become available.
We got this supposed HD channel recently; Checking it at all times day and night shows either stretch-o-vision or side pillared. Not one second of actual, real HD.
