A&E Television networks launching Crime & Investigation HD channel in Q4

Not satisfied with A&E HD, History HD and Biography HD, A&E Television Networks is throwing up a fourth high definition station at the end of this year, Crime & Investigation HD. Multichannel News has the breakdown on AETN's efforts to spread awareness among carriers for the networks, with its new "Wide Appeal" ad campaign. Still disappointed by the occasional SD upconvert? A&E has a goal of 100% true HD (1080i, not 1080p) primetime across all its networks, but no specific date to expect it.
Actually I believe A&E Networks all use 720p now, not 1080i, which is also considered "true HD".
I hope what they mean is that they'll stop stretching 4:3 images to fit 16:9 screens.
Don't mind an upconvert, but I do mind it when it's stretched.
Hate that stretch-o-vision crap!!!!
I hope A&E's "100%" isn't the same as TNT and TBS 100% on the "where is HD" website.
I think they count stretched SD as HD, with their numbers.
Though things have been getting better. For instance, they're actually showing some older sitcoms in HD now. Everybody Loves Raymond is consistantly true HD, for instance.
For a crime/investigation channel, I'm guessing it could have shows like NCIC, Bones, Law & Order series, CSI series, New Amsterdam, Cold Case, Monk, etc. If they do, then all of these already broadcast in HD on multiple stations.
