And if you're handy with the pc, play the "mkv" file on other video-capable players.<br><br>Maybe this announcement will get the guys at my local GameStop to remove the ridiculous sticker marked $34 for the MI-3 on Blu-ray.  The have the open case with a "New" sticker.  How is that new when it's already opened?  This is not a car. It certainly has the space to look and sound better. Wasn't the HD DVD also accompanied by an internet enabled disk? <br><br>I guess BD will have to be BD-Live too or make up for it in other ways. I didn't think Blu-Ray was going to make the plot of a movie any better. <br><br>The movie is about the effects. I don't think they were trying to win an Oscar. <br><br>Classic? Who cares. It's simple entertainment. It's visual and audio candy for your home systems. <br><br>Whether or not it sounds or looks any different than HD-DVD is a moot point. They are both 1080p. The HD-DVD version looked and sounded awesome. However, Toshiba pulled out and the war is over. Hopefully they'll include a lossless audio track, since they'll now certainly have the room for it.<br><br>I'm just glad the Blu-ray releases posts will be rid of that stupid asterisk once and for all. <br><br>Welcome back Paramount, you're forgiven. Now get to business and start cranking out the Blu-ray titles. My personal most wanted BD release from Paramount is the Godfather trilogy.
