TiVo is doing just fine. It's facing a slow climb to profitability, but so did Amazon. I love the unit, and it has a lot of cool features for sure, but my cable system is very heavy into SDV, so I miss out on a lot. I know that a 2way option is supposed to be getting put out soon, but I already have 3 DVRs from my employer / cable company.

They had a chance to crush the competition with great service and hardware, but I'm now learning to live with the less schnazzy, but so far FAR more reliable cable-provided unit - rotten UI and less features, but it seems to actually work reliably - which is really Job 1 for a recorder.]]>May 15th 2008 9:59PM
