Ring the bell folks
MGM HD has racked up another one, this time inking a deal with
Time Warner Cable to distribute its high definition network to subscribers. Promoting its wares on a 103-inch screen at The Cable Show, MGM continues to tout its 4,100 title-deep library of 1080i content.
Multichannel News has more info its background, as an HD-only channel MGM HD charges a license fee to operators, causing it to reside on an HD tier with DirecTV and Dish Network. It's still unclear what it might cost to get the channel whenever it is eventually available on Time Warner, but executive VP Douglas Lee is confident those tiers will eventually "kind of melt away". We can only hope. [

Great, another new, nice HD channel that TWC-Milwaukee won't get anytime soon. I'll be able to sit and read Edgadget(HD) on how every other part of the country gets this channel in HD, but not the Milwaukee Market.
Just great.
Don't feel bad. I'm dying to get Fios. But, Verizon's DSL is available across the street from me so I'm stuck with only cable internet. Not that I have complains about my service. But, I'd love to have a choice of cable or DSL. Or better yet, cable of Fios. But, it'd be a while before I can enjoy any competing services to cable.
same here... Los Angeles area seems to get the additions very late.
Don't care. TWC in NY is by far the worst cable TV & internet provider I've ever had. I've lived in a half dozen plus other states and the general incompetence demonstrated by TWC's support folks on the phone and their service tech's who come out is unmatched. I happily discontinued my service today (6 HD channels? 2 were cropped & stretched channels typically playing reruns of Friends and Jeopardy. WTF?) and I'm not looking back. Paid more for this junk here than in other places I've lived, too. Ugh, I feel like such a tool for not doing this sooner.
FiOS will get here eventually, until then I might go with sat HD feed or just Netflix.
Here in Austin texas our TWC has like 45 total HD stations. The only "pay tier" besides hbo etc is for like mojoHD/universalHD. I have heard that Austin is a test market for TWC so we get all the good stuff first :)

WHY IN MGM HD THE CC IS NOT ON?
THANKS
