Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
I have a question. Can you record 2 HD streams or just record one watch another in their 2hd system? And also, can you record 2 and watch a prerecorded hd program?
You'll be able to watch one HD stream (and record it) as well as record another HD stream. Or you can watch two different HD streams on two different TVs. In addition to this, you'll also be able to watch/record 2 SD streams.
Theoretically, you can record 2 HD programs at the same time but can't watch a live HD program while recording the 2 HD streams.
As for your second question, you should be able to record 2 HD streams while watching a recorded HD program since the recorded program is running from the DVR hdd not from any of the streams.
Then again, I cannot confirm this since I don't have 2HD yet. I'm just theoretically speaking.
