I wonder what format it's going to use for the video. somehow I doubt you can just drop this into any old consumer Blu-ray player and play it.
Actually, I would be surprised if you could not.
Blu-ray players support AVCHD film which many HD cameras already uses. You can burn this onto standard DVDs and pop it into almost any Blu-ray player.
On top of that Blu-ray players also support the two most common tapeless video formats MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 (AVC/h.264).
