"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
The Integra line does have a few enhancements over the Onkyo line-up. The worth of it is debatable.
When I bought a Integra many moons ago (I think 2000), forget the model number, but it was near the top. They amps were upgraded, "better circuitry" (or so they claimed, more gold or something like that) and gold plated terminals to name some of the major ones.
I did end up returning it since I was having issues with humming, probably a ground loop problem. Ended up getting a marantz SR-8000 that I have been keeping my eye out for a pre/pro, which Onkyo has one and I think Pioneer. Would like to get a Anthem or something higher-end like that, but they just have joined the times with multiple HDMI connection or more importantly, all the new audio format.
