This news made my day.  Cox HD channels here in Kansas haven't switched to SDV yet but will sometime this year so that will be just in time for the tuning adapters to be introduced. Come on... $18 for the HD DVR, not including the DVR service fee. If so, it's really in their best interest to provide it to customers for free. They are heavily into SDV already (especially here in Austin), and I have had nothing but pain in dealing with them.
