WGN America HD coming to DISH Network
DISH Network subscribers are finally netting another channel: WGN America HD. Yeah, we know some of you are still bitter over losing all those VOOM channels (and trust us, so is VOOM Networks), but DISH is hoping to brighten your spirits at least somewhat with the addition of WGN America HD. Scheduled to launch on June 11th, the station will deliver 160 live sporting events featuring the Chicago Bulls, Cubs and White Sox, not to mention the movies, kid favorites, news and educational material. So, DISH customers -- are you pleased with this one? Could you possibly care any less?

I just checked... it is up now... wow gotta love Matlock!!
but in all honesty this will be nice for the few times they have sporting events on.
Anyone know if Sam Zell and Randy Michaels will allow WGN America to carry CW Network programming.
Great, more customers can look at that hideous logo in HD now.
I watch the Cubs on WGN in the summer at least a few times a week, and I really don't like the change they've done to all their bumpers recently. Seriously, whose idea was that?
Anyway, go Cubs!
NOOOOO. DirecTv sign WGN please!
I hate watching 1/3 of the cubs games in SD.
EXACTLY, this station has been in HD since before the baseball season started, and we're nearly at the all-star break without having it on DirecTV. I'm hoping that they'll get it going now that DISH has it.
Wow.. since I no longer live in Chicago, but love watching the cubs this just might be the deal for me to switch to Dish. My wife would be ecstatic to watch the Cubs in HD again.
where you at Directv....come on....don't let Dish catch up.
Maybe it's just me, but all the Cubs games on my DirecTV HD PVR (WGN channel 9) that I've watched have been in HD. And FYI, I'm on the northwest side of Chicago.
It's not up to Zell or Michaels. It's up to CBS/CW, which will say "no" if asked.
