looks as lame as it did when hd-dvd tried it the same stuff.... id much rather they focus on removing all those trailers at the beginning of their films (man national treasure 2 was bad and i have a horrible feeling it was just the beginning).
Agreed. Though I don't mind the idea of being able to see new trailers whenver I watch a BD live disc, so long as I choose to see them and they aren't being forced on me.
Up front trailers suck major balls. They really need to stop disabling the menu button and allow folks to get on with the movie if they so choose it.
Now that we've thrown 'em off the trail, use the form below to get in touch with the people at Engadget. Please fill in all of the required fields because they're required.

Easy, get a Blu-Ray burner for the PC. Install AnyDVD HD, tell it to strip the trailers and ads and go directly to the main menu. Burn new Blu-Ray.
Or just rip the movie, stream it to the PS3 and forget about the other crap. Because it's all crap anyways.
All the extra features are in SD anyway. F*cking worthless.
@ Mad Mike,
Either you have a warped definition for "easy", or just being funny. That's WAY too much trouble to go through just to remove trailers.
