Austin, TX gets 3 new HD channels from Time Warner Cable
Not even a week after Time Warner Cable gifted subscribers in San Antonio with Disney HD and ABC Family HD, we've now learned that those very two have made their way over to the Austin system. Oh, but TWC threw in the totally enviable ESPNews HD while it was at it. Don't even think about griping SA -- even you know you're this carrier's favorite in the Lone Star State. [Disclosure: Engadget is part of the Time Warner family][Thanks, Chad]

I would love to have AMC HD so I can receive Mad Men in HD which is on later in July. Any chance TWC will get this channel?
@Jeff,
In Austin you can watch the AMC HD shows on 'HD Showcase in Demand'. At least they ran last year's 'Mad Men' and 'Breaking Bad' on there...

YAY! It's about damn time we get some more HD. We got a tone Nov-Jan. Then we've had an HD drought until now. ESPN News HD is a welcome addition. I'm still dying for Fox News HD though. Throw in FX, USA, and Spike and that just about covers it. Of course, the yet to be release Comedy Central HD is just teasing me...
We've had ESPNews HD in San Antonio on TWC for a few months now, so no reason to be jealous of Austin!
And to the reason WHY we have so many HD channels in San Antonio, AT&T (headquartered here) is making an aggressive push with U-verse, so TWC is give us lots of channels to keep people from switching. So far, it has worked for me, but time will tell.
They gave us Toon Disney HD also here in SA!
and still no Sci-Fi HD. For shame!
@StealthMonkey, how could you take Faux News in HD. Bill O' in HD, yikes, it's hard enough to watch when it's in SD.
