For residents in VA you can go to www.verizon.com/virginia for a list of construction sites where the fiber is being laid.
I am a long time Verizon subscriber. It is amazing how little Verizon really cares for their Customers. There is no "Live" interaction anymore, their normal business hours are Mon to Fri 8 to 6pm EST for Customer Service.
Guess what their Customers are up at 2am with an issue and no Live Customer Servioce until 8am EST.
Now the Cable guy is available 24/7 hmmm!!! who do I choose????
You are better off without them trust me..
Too bad they're still out of my area. I'd love to get their internet speeds.
Nice to see that they're bringing FiOS to more places!
But I just wish they'd finish up my town where FiOS is only available in less than 10% of the area. I only know two people in my school who have FiOS available to them.
Who cares about the East Coast gettin' all the FiOS love. How about some of that high speed light here in the Puget Sound region.
you mean northeast! im in miami stuck with old people AND comcast!!!
I've had FiOS for almost two years, but I'm STILL waiting for FiOS TV to be made available so that I can tell Comcast where to stick it. :(
@Spokensound,
Just be glad you have alternatives. The only cable carrier in my area is Comcast. My landlord refuses to install satellite dish(es). I have the choice of internet through Comcast, Quest, or Dial-Up. Dial-Up is too slow. If I go with Quest, I'm stuck with 1.5Mbps for $35, and my cable bill goes up $10. End Result: $110/mo for Basic Digital Cable and 6Mbps internet. The whole industry is anti-competitive, I'm just glad Verizon is pushing the envelope.
I think a lot of people in the Raleigh,NC area would be happy if FiOS was available to them. TWC stinks.
