i got this Mvix to play my HD TivoDesktop rips. The MPEG2 files looked inferior when compared to playback through my PC (the PC was hooked up to the same TV so it's an apt comparison). It made HD content look like a regular DVD. Also, the AC3 audio wouldn't play. Maybe the tracks from TivoDesktop are corrupt, but they play on every media player on my PC - but no sound on the Mvix. Viewing pictures is a joke. You can't get full resolution on hi-res pics. And you can't use tag information in your mp3's. You can only browse by file name.
