Epson's Ensemble HD Home Cinema System now shipping
We're still rather bummed that Epson failed to add in a third option for its Ensemble HD Home Cinema System that included a Blu-ray player, but nevertheless, those interested in picking up a complete -- and we mean complete -- home theater system at once can finally do so. Said package is available with your choice of a PowerLite 1080p or 720p projector, a 100-inch motorized screen, upconverting DVD player, Atlantic Technology 5.1 speaker system, universal remote, every single cable you'll need to hook things up, a wire management track system and all necessary mounting brackets. Ready for the sting? You're looking at $6,999 for the 1080p system and $4,999 for the 720p edition.

Epson = EPIC FAIL
What do you mean!!! I have the PowerLite Home Cinema 1080UB and it is breathtaking. Awesome.
i have just had bad experiences with any epson product i have ever used and therefore i will never purchase anything from them
Reality is, I am in this business (selling HT/audio gear) and most of my customers would be all over a easy, no-thought, integrated system that just worked. This is one reason the Bose systems sell - they are EASY TO USE.
Convenience sells.
oh man Bose
I applaud them cause their their marketing works.
Most of the price is the projector itself, I love their 1080UB's and hopefully they sell a lot of these.
wow, if that was something I was in the market for, it might be worth the premium in price just to take a lot of the guesswork out of things. I wonder, is the 1080p is also 24fps capable?
If the projector is a 1080UB then yes - it is 24p capable. Its native rate is 48Hz, but it does a 2:2 pulldown. You have to enable it in the menu though.
