Neuros-powered WhereverTV brings international channels to your TV
Not only is this thing powered by Neuros, it even resembles the Neuros OSD. Announced today at the SINO Consumer Electronics Show, the brashly named WhereverTV acts as a liaison between your internet-connected PC and TV, delivering "hundreds of live international television channels in more than 40 languages from almost 100 countries around the world." The 5- x 5- x 1-inch box must be simultaneously connected to your router and TV, and once the tele is flipped on, you'll be able to browse, manage and stream scads of international TV channels from wherever you are in the world. Granted, we still prefer the flexibility of the ZvBox (which allows you to tap into all facets of internet video, not just one segment), but for just $199.99 with no activation or recurring charges (available now at Amazon), this could be just the thing for foreign television junkies or folks currently living outside of their homeland.

I must be confused, but I'm not seeing how this device is in any way related to the ZvBox other than they are both small black boxes.
No relation at all. If anything, this is more like the Roku Netflix set-top box.
I wonder how much better of a user experience this is IF I've already got my HDTV connected to my computer via HDMI and could view the streaming Internet video content that way.
@Paul Moon: According to the Amazon.com page (which is fairly light on details but has more than the press release) this thing just has a regular RCA composite out. Assuming they're not omitting some important details, your computer set-up is almost certainly better quality, if less convenient.
It'd all be in one place is the thing, rather than having to surf around to find a channel.
Struggling to find a list of channels. My In-laws pay a monthly fee for channels from their home country. 6 months of their fees would pay for this (they have Charter Cable...Ugh).
This reminds me of the "free satellite tv for PC" scam which I occasionally see. Some site offers you hundreds of free satellite stations for $40. Your money just buys you a crappy (possibly spyware infected) app that links to a bunch of website media clips. Great huh?
First thing I would want to know about WhereverTV is who is hosting these media streams and if they're real TV channels or just urls anyone with a browser can find. Considering there are no sub for this box, my money would be on the latter.
I'm confused about some of the comments....What channels are available?

has a full listing by genre, country, language, and keyword.
Free Satellite TV for PC Scam? All of the channels are available at the above link for free. So what scam is there? They aren't charging you for software that runs on a PC, they are selling a piece of hardware. If you don't see the value - then watch the channels for free on your PC.
The $199 device allows you to watch all of this stuff ON YOUR TV WITH A REMOTE CONTROL. Plus, I was told they have full YouTube! integration as well and are adding new content regularly.
I don't expect this to replace my cable subscription - or even be TV quality since its coming over the Internet - but allowing me to watch channels from around the world on my TV without a PC required for $199.... Well, that doesn't sound too bad to me.
