Why isn't eBay on the list?
i guess "elsewhere" or "none of the above" are the same answer, and also where eBay would fit in best if it was yoru answer to the poll.
I'd say its about 75% Amazon and the remaining at Best Buy/Wal-Mart, just depends who has the better price for the given title(s) or if I can't wait and/or if the price difference isn't more than say $5. Inititally it was all BB (mid-2007) before Amazon started discounting BR titles. Prices seem to have come down all around lately, at BB in the beginning you rarely couldn find any title under $29.99, if not $34.99 and its still sort of that way but more titles are around $24.99 or $19.99.
Amazon FTW. Now where are all the tv shows and anime on blu-ray at ?!?!??

Exactly. You can't beat 2nd day delivery and not sales tax.
Well, I have Prime and live in Washington so I do still pay the Sales Tax.
However, it's still a crazy good deal if you buy a decent amount of stuff from Amazon, and when the holiday season arrives with no lines and no parking hassles and no Shipping costs for 2 day Air( other than the flat fee I already paid) it takes some of the pressure off of the Evil Holiday shopping.

I just about alwasy check best buy, but they are alwasy more expensive. I always bout DVDs there, but they don't price BDs as aggressively.

Best Buy is such a rip off compared to amazon!!!! 1 BD costs 30$ vs the same one for as low as 16.99$ from 3rd party vendors on Amazon. I love amazon.
I try not to buy BR/DVD's just cause i would rather netflix them and save my money. Very few movies do i want to watch over again. I marked BB just cause the one title i did by when i first bought my player was from BB. I didnt want to wait 2 days for netflix!

Where is "I don't buy Blu-ray discs?" I don't feel that most movies made today are really worth buying, let alone worth paying extra for for the slight increase in picture quality. Maybe if studios would actually take the time to write something new more often that would change. But I can only take so many slapstick comedies, gore fests, comic book movies, and movies parodying the slaptick comedies, gore fests, and comic book movies.
And I will never pay extra for animated films like "The Simpsons Movie" or "Aldin." There is no quitification for the price for them.
WELL SAID ! THAT'S WHY I RENT WHEN I WATCH. I HAVE A BD PLAYER AND HD DVD PLAYER BECAUSE I LOVE THE TECHNOLOGY.
STUNNED AT HOW LITTLE THERE IS TO WATCH.

I'm from Canada and I still get 'em from Amazon.com (not Amazon.ca).
The prices after shipping are still significantly cheaper than going to my local BestBuy. That being said, it takes about a week for the shipment to arrive so if I want something right away ie. Transformers when it releases in September, I'll head to Best Buy.
Whereever I find them cheapest. I really don't buy media day and date unless it is something I really really want. Usually, if I happen to be in a store I just browse the video aisle and see if I see anything cheap. I also buy Discovery Channel stuff cheap when they send me emails about sales, same thing with Amazon.
Mostly Walmart (on sale), Best Buy (on sale), or Amazon (on sale)....
Who would be foolish enough to buy Blu-ray Discs retail? Provided they have access to the internet.

Just whoever has them cheapest, whetHer it be BestBuy, Amazon, or a local place.
Other: Who needs to buy when you have NetFlix? You can get months of service for the cost of just one new Blue Ray. DVDs are a good deal but Blue Rays cost way too much. If you must own a movie, just wait a year or two and you should be able to pick them up for under $10 like you can with DVDs.

Sure, it costs more than renting, but, if you watch a movie enough times it'll pay for itself. If you have the resources, buy all you want.

i (sadly) chose Best Buy. i really only buy it wherever it's cheapest, which is usually Best Buy (sadly). i can't say i've seen many movies i want to buy in a while, though.
I have no clue why we have an option for none of the above, white panel van, and elsewhere, but not for renting....
Netflix. =U
Being from Denmark (in Europe) I purchase all my BD media from either UK, AU or US. Local retail prises here is around 50-60$, but online they cant often be found for 20-30$.
In US my favorite is HD Movie Source since they are quite specific if the media will play in my region B player.
I don't buy discs. I'm done with purchasing movies. Renting is a much better option for me.
If you are even renting them to rip em you are still helping Sony.
Future Shop which is own by Best Buy. I like walking in on Tuesday and getting a new release. Though I have been finding lately I have been passing on more purchases and just renting (zip.ca).
I have used amazon.com, as sTeViO noted it is cheaper even with the more expensive shipping to order from the US store.
One mistake the studio's seem to be making is not doing same day releases for the Blu-ray, and DVD. There are a few films I would have purchased, but didn't knowing the blu-ray was coming out later, the the excitement has passed and I end up not buying. Maybe I should be thanking the studios instead. Future Shop tends to price things cheaper on the Tuesday it comes out, so if you miss it that day you end up paying more.
Like a few people have mentioned, I buy them from Amazon because they are cheaper, but when I just can't wait, I go to Best Buy and pay the premium for having it in my hands the day of the release.

Amazon and eBay. Best Buy around here dropped discounted pricing on BD discs when they dropped HD-DVD. Too bad competition here meant the death of one format. But since the movie houses demanded there be a monopoly of optical disc formats, it was one or the other. Blu-ray won.
Glad that's what I chose! Though the fear I had made a bad choice helps my sympathize with HD-DVD owners.
The problem with Best Buy is they think they are able to force people to pay ridiculous prices. Well, they are wrong. Amazon has me thinking a prime account may be a good idea after all.

They do a crazy price check (including shipping) for new releases. I just got the Godfather Blu-Ray collection for about $70.00. Madness!
