Will this be the first public showing of the 9 series? It appears to be their 2nd generation local-dimming led panel.
Based on the pricing of existing models, I'd expect the 7 series 50 inch 1080p24 plasma to be in the $2200-2500 range.
Hmm, I'm wondering if that is a typo on the site, because the 7 series LCD is already out and it jumps from 7 to 9. It looks like the A780 was supposed to be the A850 because it seems doubtful that they would jump to localized led dimming on a partial series upgrade. Also, it seems odd that there is no upgrade from the (presumably) A780 to the A950 shown other than a color change.
The A950 will be released in 46" and 55" here in Europe / Germany.
