Verizon posts official FiOS HD channel rollout dates
Although Oregon received those shiny new high-def channels a few days back, everyone else (Ft. Wayne notwithstanding) is wondering when exactly they can expect 'em. Verizon has just posted up an official rollout schedule, which has New York getting them today, Northern New Jersey on July 30th and the rest of the gang sometime in August. Let us know if your town gets anything early (or late), won't you?

I am a lucky Fort Wayne resident, I guess!
We just got CNN and TBS HD the other day, too!
That link only shows the channel line up. Is there one which shows when we should expect the new channels in certain regions?
And what the full list of those channels are?
What about Texas!?
What about Metro DC? They aren't listed for upgrade!!! WTF!
What about Metro DC? It's not listed....WTF?!
DSLReports Verizon Fios TV forum is a buzz with NYC Rollout Including a number that Portland and Fort Wayne didn't get. Website line up update as well (put in NYC Zipcode to see all channels not on PDF)
I'm in northern NJ, and we got a letter about 2 weeks ago telling us of the 7/30 rollout date for the new HD channels. I'd assume they're sending these letters out in all markets about a month before you get the new channels. Also, our program guide now says "channel moving to xxx on 7/31" for any channels that will be shifted during the rollout.
I just want USA and FX in HD. I mean WTF. They have a USA-HD channel on the guide but it just says "Coming Soon" and its just a black screen. They are lucky I have nothing to watch on FX until the regular season of Rescue Me starts, because I will drop FiOS in a heartbeat to get FX in HD if they don't have it by then.
But I have shows that I want to watch in HD on USA and I have to resort to illegal piracy to get them in HD.
I wanted to jump on here last night to say something, but I figured that last post was so old that nobody would see it, but USA HD and CNBC HD finally started broadcasting. I checked it a little after 1am and it's been on since.
Btw, I also want FX HD for that exact same reason. I want to Rescue Me how it should be seen. Of course, I don't even know when the next season starts, but I want to see it in HD when it happens.
I think early 2009. Full 22 episode season.
What about southern California?
8/13 is my lucky day!
what about southern new jersey? how come it doesnt say when everywhere is expected to get the channels?
You have to love how it just says "Rhode Island"
Announcement has been made in Verizon that Northern New Jersey and NY will have 100 HD channels by August 1st. Currently NY is receiving new HD channels along with a new channel lineup. NNJ will experience this change beginning July 30th. The link below is not the complete list of new HD channels. These are in addition to the new HD channels that have started in the 1st rollout by FIOS.

I live in Tualatin, Oregon, a suburb of Portland, Oregon. I thought I would give you a heads up of what you can expect. CRAP and BUGS. It seriously needs retooling. First off, for some odd reasons, you have repeats of channels, like the standard block of USA, TBS, and TNT. We have 3 of each, and we only get TBS HD so far, while USA HD comes and goes, and is set in on eastern standard time, unless WWE Raw now comes in at 6 p.m.
The channel lineup is horrible. You will have premium HD movie channels, then CNBC thrown in the middle of them. The on-screen guide now features at least 800 channels. Most of which are just telling you what channel use to be there. So between the repeats and that, it will take you about 15 to 20 minutes to go through the whole list. Go once, mark your favorites.
I love the Verizon television service, but they need to iron these bugs out and quick.
I like how you put the zip code for Natick on thurr.
Unfortunately, I can't find that image that you have posted on this article anywhere on the Verizon site.
