Sony intros unsightly BRAVIA T Series HDTVs in Asia-Pacific
Whoa there, Sony. Usually your designs are fairly impressive -- sleek, if nothing else -- but this all new BRAVIA T Series is most certainly not pretty. Boasting "powerful side speakers with a choice of Dual Tweeters or a 3D Woofer [saywha?] with side duct for a complete entertainment experience," these sets sacrifice style in order to flank a set of speakers on the side of the panel. For those that can look beyond it, you'll find a BRAVIA Engine 2, Intelligent Picture and MPEG Noise Reduction, with models ranging from 19- to 32-inches. The new range is scheduled to hit the Asia-Pacific market next month for undisclosed prices -- not like you'll be inquiring anyway, right?

Hey I saw a similar looking set at Sam's club - $750 i think. May be it is not T series though. I will check it next time I visit there.
ewww?? that thing looks like it has a DVD/blu built in, along with a full surround sound system lol....
wow sony... you usually set the bar in style... I think Hi-crotchi got you beat this time lol... hopefully this will be the low-end stuff.
People actually use the TV's speakers??? What is this, 1991?
Sony's designs are usually impressive? Have we forgotten the Dumbo ears on the SXRD XBRs? Making the speakers detachable is one thing, but I'm with Dan Davis - Who cares about the tv speakers? That's one thing I wish Pioneer would drop. They claim that they spend a lot of R&D on the sound quality of their speakers but most people keep it in the box and stashed away. It'd be nice to drop the price of the tv a little and sell the speakers as an accessory.
Just another reason why Samsung, Apple and Onkyo are outselling Sony. TRBL TRBL.
Well this is designed for the Asian market. The taste over there is a whole lot different than over here. They also aren't really into full surround systems in the 400 sq ft house.
I think it looks better than a lot of Sony TVs I have seen come out in the past few years. Sony's design team tries a bit too hard (and usually fails) IMO.
