High-def news comes to Boston's WHDH-TV
As the race to 200 HD news stations in America continues, Boston's own WHDH-TV is bringing us one closer. After nearly being no-hit last night in their own ballpark, Bean Town residents can actually flip on the evening news without worry of having to relive any embarrassing history. Based on the before and after shots in the read link, we'd say the local NBC affiliate did an outstanding job at renovating the studio. For locals who have tuned in already, how is the broadcast quality? Good enough to make you start watching on a regular basis?

Blech, I hate that station. Their news is style-over-substance, tabloidesque, sensationalist fluff; it's laden with graphics and sound effects even more so than most stations, and it eschews well known trustworthy anchorpersons for whatever twenty-something pretty faces they can snatch off campus while the ink on their Communications degrees is still drying.
Ummm.... it's been HD for a while now.
The channel looks great, some of the host's on the other hand. Is there a screening process for how a person must look before getting on TV? Hopefully Fox 25 will make the switch sometime soon.
Mmmmm Maria...
Wow....has anyone ever noticed how much that network logo looks like SBS's ????

In Tampabay we had HD news for a while. The biggest deal is the weather map.
Watching the weather in HD is better then sex! Ok not really but posting a article every time a news channel in the country goes HD is as fun as watching paint dry.
Maybe you all can have a state by state county by county map.
