does anybody know how many dimmable regions this TV (or samsung's new model) will have?
Samsung's old model only had 70 individual regions...Brightside's original prototype had 1400 I think.
On a big screen, it doesn't seem like 70 regions would be enough in some circumstances...

The new 9-series uses 276 individually dimmable regions.
The original 8-series is said to have had "less than 100" -- it's actually 70, IIRC.
For comparison, I believe that Brightside's original HDR monitor used around 1400 regions on a 40" screen...
