Why would Netflix agree to something like that when they already have deals with other manufacturers? It's more likely that Sony, who is trying to get the PS3 on the same level as the Xbox 360 is now, likely will put this out but wants to concentrate on the gaming experience of the PS3 first.

I expect to see Netflix streaming on any network set-top within a couple years, including the PS3. It's just more proof that per-movie rental is going away for more a la carte' stuff via the net. Apple needs to get this notice and either bring Netflix officially to the AppleTV or set up their own monthly subscription for a la carte movies.

dukrous

Comments on LG's BD300 Netflix & Blu-ray box lightly stroked

the head of netflix is on the micosoft board of directors

gamedude420

Comments on LG's BD300 Netflix & Blu-ray box lightly stroked

Streaming SD content is NOT a selling point; especially since this will be hooked up to my 47" 1080p LCD (to use the Blu-ray).

Most SD content looks horrible on such screens.

Stream HD (at least 720p/1080i) and THEN I might consider buying one!

Jim

Comments on LG's BD300 Netflix & Blu-ray box lightly stroked

Netflix has already stated that HD streaming is in their future plans.
