Not true, the British Isles is a term sometimes, but not accurately, used to describe the islands specifically in that area of the west of continental europe (Ireland, Great Britain, Isle Of Man, etc). Great Britain is England, Wales and Scotland. The U.K. is Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

IIRC, anyone in the British Isles is a "Brit", so it includes all of the UK, not just England as you seem to have implied.
