I was surprised when I looked at BD blank media recently (25GB, of course). They're actually starting to get close to HDD price per gig. 2X BD-Rs are going for $9-10 apiece at newegg, and 4X are $12 apiece. If you like to buy in bulk you can get a RiData 25 pack for $199 ($8 apiece). I wouldn't have thought the demand would be high enough to start pushing prices down like this, but I guess it must be. I'm still waiting on a burner for myself, though.
“An engineer explained to us that hundreds of ear impressions were gathered in the name of research, and while each one obviously boasted its own unique shape and size, one single characteristic remained uniform across the board: the entrance into the ear canal is not a perfect circle, it's an oval.”
