Regular DVDs work fine. One thing I am interested in is the Jukebox players that people are working on...I was looking at building two HTPCs and use a combination of TMT and MyMovies to create a video jukebox but it looks like I can do a lot of the same things with a Popcorn Hour (not as automated of course) for about half to a 1/3 the cost.
