Trio of Yamaha AV receivers leaked alongside BD-S2900 Blu-ray player
Well, what have we here? Thanks to a few mighty believable screen captures, it looks as if Yamaha is getting ready to unveil at least three new AV receivers on the world alongside a stupidly priced Blu-ray player. The 7.1-channel RX-V1900 ($1,399.95) looks to boast four HDMI sockets, USB, a slew of digital audio ports and an undisclosed amount of power; the RX-V3900 ($1,899.95) and the RX-Z7 ($2,699.95) will deliver even more potency, though these are clearly aimed for the more affluent HT enthusiasts among us. Our real love interest here, however, is the mythical BD-S2900 -- an $1,199.95 Blu-ray player with BonusView, support for 1080p24 / 12-bit Deep Color, 192kHz / 24-bit DACs and a bunch of other ho hum specs that make us wonder just how inaccurate that MSRP must be. Here's hoping CEDIA clears things up on the whole gang.[Via AVBuzz, thanks Yuval]

For $1200, their new BD player oughtta support SACD and DVD-Audio as well.
I agree. If this player is $1,200 it should have SACD and DVD-A and a quality Redbook CD playback.
I don't think they plan to sell a lot of these.
What do you expect from a manufacturer that doesn't even know how to manufacture DVD players? Their DVD players have been rebadged Philis. Their LaserDisc players prior to DVD were rebadged Pioneer. This may be another Funai rebadge.
Those receivers look nice (but expensive). I wonder how many years it is going to take for these receiver manufacturers to put a wireless N connection in their receivers. I would like a receiver with (the "free" ad-supported) iBiquity Digital Corporation's HD radio and iTunes ID tagging. I'm not rushing out to get a Sirius/XM merged company's radio just yet -- maybe if they start offering an $8.99 monthly plan it might get my interest peaked a little bit. A 3-year plan for an effective rate of $9.99 per month doesn't seem too enticing (what do they bill you $359.99 at the start of your 3-year "contract?").
The RX-V3900 and the RX-Z7 both support iTunes tagging, as well as Rhapsody and HD radio. They also have 2 HDMI outs (simultanious)
As for the BD-2900 supporting SACD/DVD Audio... Yea, let's sink money into formats that were dead before they even got going. And BTW, they've made their DVD machines in-house for the last 2 generations.
Sometimes it's better to keep your mouth shut and let people think you're an asshole, than to open it and prove it.
