I love Firefly more than most, but even if I had a BD player, there's no way in hell I'm paying $90 for the set. This reminds me of how the X-Files were the only TV show for $100 because they were among the first shows available on DVD so there were no price reference. They picked their price and ran with it.

I guess this is a long way of saying I won't be buying this for $90, or even $60, dollars. Someday it'll be $30 and then I'll bite. Until then, I'll live with my DVD copy that still works just fine.

Okay, let's see, there's Season 1. Which sales were a bit slow (since the Blu-ray and HD-DVD wars was still going full steam).

And then I'm in Best Buy the other day and lo and behold, there's season 3 in Blu-ray.

I went through the series recently and enjoyed it. Not to the point of being a hardcore fan, but it is one of the better sci-fi shows of late. The big problem with it that I observed is that the series starts off really slow. It picks up about half way through the season quite nicely, but that's too late for a new niche show. The opening credits also probably turned off a lot of people before they even gave Firefly a chance.
