Hate to say it, but Sherwood's BDP-6003 was the lousiest looking BD deck on the CEDIA show floor. The entire thing just screamed cheap, and quite honestly, it's not a player we'd be proud to show off. Sure, for $150 or so we wouldn't even give the looks a second thought, but given the $499 price tag, we expect something a bit more attractive than this. What say you?
You guys weren't kidding about this unit looking cheesey. Sherwood would be hard pressed to unload that thing for $99 at Wal-Mart. But, like always, some folks with other Sherwood units in their wall units will buy them.
well, after looking at the pics, i sincerely hope the stickered on look of the front area is only a mockup of the final.
it's nice to see sherwood finally step up to hdmi and modern tech though. but... if they can make their products look nicer. my bet is more people would buy them.
You have to wonder how a company like Sherwood stays in business. Their products always seem way behind the curve and priced way to high for what they are.
It looks like something that would've been sold 20 years ago. I suppose they might find a market with people who have older equipment that they want to match.
Well it looks like the guys / gals running the booth just forgot to take off the clear protective plastic that always ships over the faceplate / display on new gear. Also, Could that $499.99 price include the receiver or soundbar shown in the picture?

What matters most is how well it looks when turned on and on your screen than when it's turned off.
Yea, that thing is fugly!

What else do you expect from Sherwood besides fugly components that are way over-priced?
Sherwood stuff doesn't just look cheap, it is cheap.
