The update you are referencing does add the capability for 2.35:1 constant height anamorphic processing, but it DOES NOT include the lens needed to do this.  That model is the RSAL1 and is and ADDITIONAL $6495 MSRP.  You will also need to spend about $4000 or more for a masking 2.35:1 screen.  This is not a budget system, but if you are looking for a true cinematic experience at home, it is hard to beat the performance of this system at anywhere near its price point.  JVC also introduced 4 new projectors at CEDIA (well, 2 really, but they have a consumer and professional line) and the new 20u will be replacing the 2u here within the next couple months.  Expect similar price points but improved performance.
