"As someone who doesn't reside in the USA, I was wondering what would be the best way to get internet for my computer in the US for a couple of weeks? If it were Europe I know I'd look for some prepaid data. Is there anything similar offered by American carriers? A MiFi or a data SIM that I can tether from would work, but I'm trying to maintain a tight budget. Help!"
I'm in Seattle and have been playing around recently with my new DTV converter-box (Channel Master which I like mucho). I wondered why Channel 9's OTA HD broadcast on 9.5 had suddenly disappeared - now I know! Apparently their former 9.1 DTV is now 9.1 HD. And yes its true that the programming is somewhat inferior; I can imagine that a lot of locals are pissed. I rarely watch it, and quit donating money to them years ago. Their "marketing demographic" of prime donors is middle-aged-plus upper-middle-class white liberal women, and boy does it show in the programming!
