Mark Levinson ships the No. 532 Dual Monaural Amplifier
If lending the company name to LG HTIB systems made anyone think that Mark Levinson was moving towards the mainstream market, the release of the No. 532 Dual Monaural Amplifier should lay those thoughts to rest. Not to be confused with a stereo amplifier for mere mortals, the No. 532 is really two 400-Watt mono amps that share power and control circuitry, bundled together in one tidy chassis. Obviously something only for the jet-set, the No. 532 is available now, but without pricing info -- that's got to be PR-speak for "If you have to ask..." Seriously, though, with the ML brand showing up on car audio and HTIB systems, doesn't this pretense ring a bit hollow?EDIT: The man Mark Levinson (behind the LG HTIB systems) has nothing to do with the brand Mark Levinson any more. -- Thanks, Spencer!

This is exactly what I need to go with my new $7,500 black and white flatscreen TV.
That's one nice daddy.
That HTiB system was a joke. If it was $2,000, had a good BD player, and actually sounded good, sure, but it was just more HTiB junk.
You need to make the distinction between Mark Levinson the individual and Mark Levinson the company which produces this amplifier. The two at this point in time have nothing to do with one another. Mark as an individual assisted with the design of the HTIB system as well as relabling chinese oem goods as "Red Rose Music" systems. The company which was sold to Harman International still produces very very good stuff.
Spencer -- thanks for the clarification, I'll edit the post to reflect the (Bob) Carver sort of situation.
To echo Spencer's comments already posted above, the Company making the Mark Levinson No. 532
has absolutely nothing do with LG HTIB. The Harmon Specialty Group unit (Mark Levinson) is making
very very high end amplifiers, preamps, CD & DVD players, as well as an AVP processor with new
products on the way. Many of the products that Mark Levinson makes may very well exceed the MSRP
of the car in our driveway and are arguably among the best electronic components on the market.
