Well now that we're starting to see players being sold at the $200 range, we can expect the same bunch of whiners will now bitch that players should be $99 to $150...
And it's not a Sylvania/Magnavox/Insignia/Funai either.
I also saw one of the Sony's on Amazon for $199 this weekend. Tell's me BD is serious about growing their marketshare on standalones this holiday season. It's not the PS3 being the cheapest on the block anymore (though still better than most of the standalones) so folks have better choices.
"I have a MacBook Pro and an Xbox 360 and I would like to get a 20- to 24-inch display that will support both devices. The speakers should be inbuilt, or there should be an aux out on the display to hook up external speakers. Help! Please!"

The Sony player for $200 is an old model, they are clearancing it... or should we say FIRESALE?!?
While players getting close to hit $200 in retail for current players is nice, if BDA was serious, they would drop the prices of the discs.
Zargon, the price of the discs is determined by the studios, NOT the BDA!!!!
Thanks for the correction, but I meant everyone who is involved with Blu-ray.
