DirecTV goes public with The 101 fall lineup
We won't come close to saying that a dedicated HD channel is reason enough to make the switch to DirecTV, but if you've been teetering, have a look at what you'll be seeing / missing out on this fall. The satcaster has just unveiled its fall lineup for its exclusive The 101 channel, and before we go any further, let us emphasize that each and every show mentioned will be delivered sans commercials. As you well know by now, the third season of Friday Night Lights will begin on October 1st at 9:00PM ET / PT, and for fans of that, they'll surely dig the companion show Live From Dillon. DirecTV is also planning new seasons for Supreme Court of Comedy and Rock & A Hard Place, and it's even bringing a sneak preview of the new original series from Starz Entertainment, Crash. Not bad DirecTV... not bad at all.

Per the DirecTV guide, these programs will be on standard definition Channel 239, not high definition Channel 101
Though I couldn't care less about this channel or any of the shows on it, I will be switching to DirecTV in November because they'll be rolling out my locals in HD at that time.
So why doesn't DirecTV's guide show Friday Night Lights on Oct. 1 in their onscreen guide? I checked the other night and it just isn't there.
I can't miss it!
I also looked last night and found that they have Friday Night Lights listed on the standard def version of the channel (239), BUT NOTHING on the High Def channel (101)!!! Why wouldn't they display it in HIGH DEF??? This is Directv's huge moment to shine with the show (which has been shown in High def for the past 2 seasons), why are they dropping the ball?
