AT&T takes Total Home DVR to Houston and San Diego
We've a feeling we'll soon be unable to keep up with all the Total Home DVR rollouts, but we aren't complaining one bit about the speed at which AT&T is getting it out there. Hot on the heels of Austin, Fresno, and a handful of other cities getting gifted, AT&T has quietly given Houston, Texas and San Diego, California residents the ability to watch recorded shows on connected TVs anywhere in the house. Dollars to donuts a few more markets get lit up before October dawns.

But apparently it's not available inside the loop in Houston? I'm south of the med center and am still stuck with crappy Comcast!
Can I use my TiVO HD with a lifetime subscription instead of their DVR?
NO?
Forget it.
If this was launched in the Houston area, I am part of the Houston DMA and I still don't have the update at this time and have tried to reboot and still nothing at all.
I called U-Verse and they told me it was going to be October 7th before it gets officially released here in this area.
I am a U-verse customer in Houston and have not seen the update yet.
I got a phone message stating my DVR has been updated - but nothing yet. We're just south of Houston - outside the beltway. I also got a e-mail message about 2 HD streams a couple of months ago - still waiting on that too.
Reboot your DVR by holding the power button for 5 seconds (or until the screen blanks out). The AT&T reps state that this will have the DVR check for updates during the reboot. With the Total Home DVR, you may need to reset all of your boxes so they get the update too.
I have tried rebooting and still no update. I did receive the phone call fred_dog referred to.
