This is DOA without CableCard support. Without it it can't measure up to Vista Media Center. I also think Tivo messed up by charging a service fee. Now if they come out with a Tivo media center extender that doesn't require an additional service fee then I might change my tune. I would be willing to pay $10/month to have one PC that could record all of my content and serve it up to extenders around the house. Using a TivoHD as an extender is a joke because of the additional monthly fee. Also, managing recordings on two different boxes is inefficient and annoying.
