A few years back researching at a defense contractor I was given a Sharp Actius laptop with a parallax barrier. But there is nothing wrong with goggles. The cheapest 3D displays (polarized or 120Hz) will rely on goggles, and so will 3D movie theatres. New polarized glasses look just like sunglasses, none of that ugly red/cyan cardboard stuff.
