AVerMedia launches AVerTV Hybrid TVBox 11
If you've been looking for a convenient way to turn your spare monitor into a guest room TV (or you've just been searching for a standalone OTA HDTV tuner), AVerMedia has you covered. The AVerTV Hybrid TVBox 11 not only includes an analog / ATSC / Clear QAM TV tuner, but it also boasts a DVI output, component input / output, transparent PIP support and a bundled remote. Not too much to offer beyond that, but apparently AVerMedia feels it's worth $199.99.

I want something like that for my old HD ready Sony, but $200 is way too steep. Make it $100, and then we will talk.
I have an LG tuner box that includes an upscaling DVD player on my HD-ready TV. Although they're not making this model any more, I paid $200 for it at the time (2 years ago). It has component and DVI outputs at resolutions up to 1080i.
Since manufacturers are making SDV-compatible tuner boxes for the digital transition for as little as $50, many of which use an HD-compatible chipset, there is no reason this box can't be under $100.
